Plymouth Orchards comes from simple beginnings: a small road-side operation on Warren road afront the ghost of a century old dairy farm and 60 acres of land. Eventually, the main farmhouse was taken down and 9 varieties of dwarf apple trees were planted. Only the 50 year old milk house of the dairy farm still stands; this milk house (adjacent to the walk-way to the farm animals) was the original cider mill in 1981. One hundred gallons of cider were hand pressed that 3-weekend only cider season.

Simplicity is still the catalyst for the ambiance and success of the orchard today. The surrounding ninety acres of natural wooded beauty complete the 30 acres of farmed land which grows 16 varieties of dwarf apple trees. The cider mill's growth reflects its popularity within Plymouth and surrounding communities. Since 1977, the cider mill has grown in size to accomodate the ever increasing number of visitors. In 1982 the first cider mill was built, which comprises the current cider mill's pressroom and stockroom. Thousands of gallons of natural cider and dozens of fresh donuts are produced each 2-1/2 month long fall season.
