Plymouth Community named Top 100 Places to Live in America

RelocateAmerica.com, a website that provides relocating consumers and area residents with access to local community resources, named the Plymouth Community among their annual listing of the “America’s Top 100 Places to live for 2009.” This is the second year in a row our community was named to the list.

“With the increasing concern on our nation’s economy and recovering housing market we approached this year’s list with a different lens than in previous years. We concentrated on the outlook for future growth & ability to rebound in the communities that we selected” said Steve Nickerson, president and CEO. “We looked at the local government and the business leadership in each community as we considered this year’s winners. We selected communities with visionary leaders, improving or thriving economies including housing & realization of “green” initiatives.

The TOP100 cities were selected based on interviews with local leaders, feedback from residents and economic, environmental, education, crime, employment and housing data for the past year. The Chamber and other community leaders were asked to complete a detailed questionnaire. To see the entire list of cities, go to www.relocateamerica.com

With the increased criteria used for this year, we are pleased to again be recognized as one of the outstanding communities to live in the United States.
