Shamrock Race

March 17, 7:30 -10:30 am, onsite registration begins at 6:45 a.m.

Shamrock Race ~ A festive race event brought to you by the Kona Running Company. Join in on the fun – sign up & wear a festive costume or anything Green! Celebrate the St. Patrick’s holiday with live traditional music by Celtic Jam (see image below) in historic downtown Plymouth! Donations to the Karmanos Cancer Institute.

chocolatecandyb  New for 2019: BEER or POP, PIZZA & FINGER FOODS to all paid participants at Post Race Party held at the new Bigalora/Arbor Brewing Co restaurant & tent near our finish area! Additional Beer or Food can be purchased. Ticket on Race Bib. ID’s will be required & checked!
chocolatecandya  New for 2019: The 10K is back!  Just like our 2016 event, we now once again have the 10K event in addition to the other events
chocolatecandyb  New for 2019: We will have a new Rainbow Half Mile Course
chocolatecandya  5K Walkers start in their own corral start AFTER the 5K runners have left
chocolatecandyb  2019 Finisher Medals:  For all 10K, 5K, and Half Mile participants.
chocolatecandya  2019 Tech Shirt*:  A unisex “Tech Shirt” for all 10K, 5K, and Half Mile participants.
chocolatecandyb  Entertainment & Party: DJ; live traditional music by Celtic Jam (see image below ); Food & Beverage Buffet in heated Tents
chocolatecandyb  Shamrock Double Participate in the 10K and 5K; must run in the 1st Start Wave of 10K & receive a Tech Shirt, 10K Medal, Double Finisher Medal; limited to 500    
chocolatecandya  Shuttle Buses starting at 6:40 AM from Troy Design and Manufacturing (TDM) parking lot SEE MAP HERE (limited to 1,500 cars) to/from Plymouth Recreation Center;  City of Plymouth will be charging $5 per vehicle ($2.50 to city & $2.50 to charity) in their municipal parking lots & structures so use our free bus shuttles.  Shuttle bus service will be stopped at 10:45 AM.  All patrons in line to load at that time will be transported to the remote parking however patrons arriving at the shuttle loading zone after 10:45 AM may not have bus transportation available    
chocolatecandyb  10K Time Qualifier: Participants must run at “18 minutes or less pace per mile” to register for our 10K event

chocolatecandya  Start & Finish at Kellogg Park: 777 W Ann Arbor Trail, Plymouth, Michigan 48170 (MAP)
chocolatecandyb  Course Availability (Times):  THE FINISH LINE SHUTS DOWN AT 10:30 AM.  The Shamrock Race 10K street course, from the start through mile 3, will be available until 9:00 AM at which time any remaining 10K participants must move to the sidewalk until joining the remainder of the course which is shared by the 5K race.
The Shamrock Race 5K street course will be available until 10:30 AM at which time any remaining participants must move to the sidewalk or proceed at their own risk. The timing mats will be shut down at 10:30 AM and times will no longer be recorded. Water and food buffet will also be stopped. City of Plymouth Police and subcontractor monitoring may also be discontinued
chocolatecandya  10K Pace Groups: 8 min/mile pace up to 12 min/mile pace
chocolatecandyb  Age Group Awards – M/F, 3 deep, 5-year age group increments, from 14 years old to +75 yrs old – pickup your award at our finish-line Awards Tent in Kellogg Park at 9:00 am.
chocolatecandya  B-Tag Timing – (ChronoTrack chip in bib) for ALL events
