A Prince journeyed around the world searching for a princess to marry, but none were right. So he returned to his castle, footsore and heartsick. One stormy night, a beautiful girl came knocking, claiming she was a Princess. The queen was doubtful, and places a tiny pea underneath twenty mattresses, knowing that only a true princess would be able to feel it. The next morning when the girl exclaimed that she had slept terribly– the kingdom knew that she was indeed a real princess, and she and the prince lived happily ever after.
