New procedures this year for Walk of Trees in Kellogg Park:

For General Holiday Christmas Trees (not Memorial Trees): Members of the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce and the Community will have the opportunity to enter separate lottery drawing for a Christmas tree in Kellogg Park. Members are to fill out the "Members Only Lottery" form and community groups, families and non-member businesses are to fill out the "Community Lottery" form. Both drawings will take place on October 30, and all participating will be contacted with the results.

Memorial Trees for those who have passed: The Chamber receives many more requests for memorial trees than can be met. Chamber members will have an opportunity to reserve the first 5 memorial trees on a first come basis from September 25 through the 27 for loved ones they wish to honor. To give others the opportunity to honor the memories of their loved ones who have passed, the Chamber will be putting the remaining trees into a lottery that will also be drawn on October 30. Those trees are located on the east end of Kellogg Park.

Another option for people who do not receive trees through the Memorial Tree lottery is to contact Compassionate Friends, a grief support group, who will have two trees again this year with ornaments to remember those who have passed. If you want to participate with Compassionate Friends, they ask you contact them at 734-778-0800 or through their website at http://www.tcflivonia.org/contact_us.aspx about having an ornament on their tree. You can still put in an application for the tree lottery and reserve an ornament. Then if you receive a tree, you can just inform Compassionate Friends to give your ornament location to another family.

All trees and $100 ($80 for non-profits), and payments are due by lottery winners within one week of notification. The last form, "Walk of Trees - Rules and Guidelines" is a reference sheet for anyone who will be decorating a tree, and should be used as a guideline for tree decorating.
